Secrets Make Baby Jesus Cry

Today the AP reports today that an investigation into the alleged secret flights that the CIA has used since 9/11 in the war against terror has now involved more than 14 European nations. Many of these countries have either turned a blind eye, or allowed use of airspace or underground compounds to transport or detain suspects illegally. Most of these countries are denying such allegations such as Prime Minister Tony Blair. This story first broke last fall when the Washington Post stated that secret fights and detention facilities mainly in Eastern European countries such as Romania and Poland were being used by the CIA to hold and question convicted terrorist and terror suspects. Many fear that these detainment facilities could be used as dens of torture that violate human rights abuses mainly the European Convention on Human Rights. With this new information Ramble On hopes that the EU, US, and other such agencies will act quickly to investigate and punish all involved in such violations. While no doubt security and intel need to be stepped up to curb terrorism in the post 9/11 world that we live in, this cannot be used to breach human rights off any organization even the CIA.
